36x48in, Acrylic on Canvas (Gallery Wrapped)
Started in 2020, originally to be a black woman dancing in the clouds. The was piece picked back up and completed in 2022 and transformed into a tribute to Black Maternal Mortality after the loss of a family member following child birth. The central focus, a black woman in a flowing white dress while on a journey of ascension and transcendence. Her eyes closed to find inner peace and calm as she communes with a greater power; putting to rest her struggle and spectrum of pain experienced as a result of inequitable healthcare.
